HALIFAX—Automation and power giant ABB is expanding its business in Atlantic Canada by opening a new office in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The new facility’s primary focus will be to support ABB’s role in Emera’s Maritime Link Project, an power infrastructure project designed to connect renewable electricity generated in Newfoundland and Labrador with Nova Scotia. The company’s other activities on Canada’s east coast include providing power and automation solutions for customers across a range of industries, including utilities, oil and gas, pulp and paper, marine, power, and food and beverage.
ABB Canada employs close to 5,000 employees spread throughout Canada. Its headquarters are located in Montreal, the Province of Quebec, Toronto and Calgary. Today, ABB operates in over 60 locations across Canada.
