Montreal's Valeant to buy sex drug company for $1 billion, expects Addyi on market this year

The Canadian pharmaceutical company Valeant is buying the maker of the so-called "female Viagara" drug. Valeant Pharmaceuticals announced it will spend USD $1 billion to acquire North Carolina-based Sprout Pharmaceuticals. The deal was announced just two days after U.S. authorities approved the libido drug, Addyi, to be sold in the U.S.
