Halifax company Black Rock Tidal Power has secured $10.5 million in private equity investment for its platform destined for Nova Scotia’s tidal energy test site off Parrsboro. The firm, a subsidiary of Schottel Hydro, set up a project company to take over its Triton tidal energy platform once fully commissioned for $15 million, the firm said in a news release issued Tuesday. The funding is led by Canadian investment firm Inerjys Ventures and includes investments from Schottel Group shareholders and Singapore-based Envirotek.
